GEN-ZERS FUTURE FORTUNES

Currently, Camilo's journey continues to unfold with
exciting new ventures. He is actively networking
with the DFW stage management community and
relentlessly honing his acting craft through
independent training. Practical experience is also
being gained as a board operator and carpenter at
Pocket Sandwich Theater in Carrollton, adding
valuable technical skills to his diverse repertoire.
Looking ahead, a return to the North Lake Theater
Department this fall promises more opportunities
to build skills both on and off the stage.
Camilo M. Ramos Viamont
22 years old

For many, Camilo's story is more than just
a personal triumph; it's a beacon of
inspiration, especially for Gen Z Latinos.
Being a Gen Z Latino in the arts means
"showing up with pride in who I am and
where I come from." Camilo aims to
remind others that "there’s strength in our
stories, languages, and culture." He
acknowledges that "pursuing a creative
career isn’t always easy—but it’s worth it."

His advice to aspiring young creatives is
clear and powerful: "Be fearless in your
identity, patient with your journey, and
bold in your dreams. Your background
isn’t a barrier—it’s your superpower." It’s a
message that resonates deeply,
encouraging other young Latinos to
fearlessly follow their passions, no matter
how unconventional they may seem.
Camilo's journey from Bolivia to the heart
of American theater is a vibrant example
of what can be achieved when talent
meets determination and identity is
celebrated as a source of strength.
